Youtube has millions of users and to totally neglect the fact there are an insane about of traffic that can be driven to your website makes u an idiot.
-After recieving email after email asking me how i was able to drive so much traffic to my website. I had to write yet another blog post telling you exactly how i was able to drive traffic with my youtube videos.
How to jump start your website traffic
-Youtube is the very tool that i have used over and over and over again to drive repeated traffic to my blog. A good friend of mine by the name of Daniel brought it to my attention to share these tips with you, so you should thank Daniel.
4 things i do to with my youtube videos to get traffic to my blog
- You must.. must..must…. place the url to your website in the description box and make it clickable. It is not enough to just place the url in there, so make it clickable by putting http:// right in front of your websites url.
- Pre type you description on a notepad before you begin uploading the video. If you have noticed on my youtube channel and some of my video descriptions i have a very long description. This is done to insure placing in front of my competitors on youtube.
- Pick your two keywords or keyword phrases that you want to rank for on youtube. Once you have choosen them then go ahead and place brackets around your keywords, or dashes in between. Use your keywords often and thought your description and your tags.
- If you don’t have an established youtube channel or blog to get views then i advise you to post your video as a video response to other related videos on youtube. I just usually post it on my facebook, myspace, twitter and sometimes my blog. This must be done within a 48 hour period repeatedly to rank as hight as you can on youtube for whatever keywords you have been choosen .
How to do research for keyword performance on youtube
In the past 6 months i have actually been tweaking this method little by little to see whats working the best to get the most views. Its actually quite simple to do keyword research on youtube.
-For example is you want to rank high for “PAYDAY LOANS” then your going to need to go to the search box and type in payday loans. Now look at the search results and see how many people are making videos using those keywords. The more people the harder it is to rank, but the more rewarding once you place on the first page for that term.
-I typically go for the keywords that are harder to rank for, because i know that using these techniques i can either land on the first page automatically or work my way to the first page after my first week.
Another thing you need to look at is… your competitors tags and views. Look for the person with the highest views on there video.
Look at there tags to see what tags they are using. Don’t mimic exactly every tag that they have on there video!
Mistake marketers make with there youtube videos
I have seen this mistake made time and time again on youtube. Youtube is all about being unique, or original. If you go to a popular youtube video and just copy there description, title, and tags then your video will not get on the first page at all and more than likely never will.
-Your basically plagiarizing other yotuubers videos descriptions. Don’t be lazy…. just do your homework and you will benefit in the long run.

When other markets plagiarize your video descriptions and tags it just makes your video climb up in rankings lol… so if you wanna copy my descriptions and tags then be my guest.

Use these tips to drive traffic to you blog or website over and over again. Make video after video after video with fresh new descriptions and you will be on your way to recieving some nice traffic.
