I know im not a big leader like these two people, but i have started taking that coarse. I know for a fact that it is not a scam, and jermy schoemaker knows his stuff.

-100 instructional videos- very detailed videos from what i have seen already. I know most of the stuff that he is talking about in the first few videos, but when i skipped up to the 10 video i was learning a bunch of new things about marketing online… things i never even thought about doing.

It just came to me as i was sitting in the sauna at Gold’s Gym. I have written article after article listing ways to make money in affiliate marketing, but i neglected to list ways you can suck at affiliate marketing.

There are a number of ways you can suck at affiliate marketing, but i thought i would give you guys the top four ways. Follow these rules and you will definitely fail at making money with affiliate marketing.

1. Posting the wrong affiliate link- I can’t tell you how many times my newbie friends have posted there affiliate links wrong. Sometimes they would add an extra characters to there affiliate link. The most common mistake that i have seen is when newbies try to use html codes to shorten there affiliate links. The end result of this is usually the link doesn’t work all together. No wounder most new affiliates quit after 2 months of marketing online.                                                                                                                                                            Solution- Although it is obvious to say this, but lets check our affiliate links and make sure they work. If you want to use anchor text, then i suggest you use the right html code… Here is a common html code i use for anchor text…….. <a href://website address>Text<a/>
2. Not Testing and Tracking your Results- How in the world are you supposed to tweak your skills, find out whats working, stop doing whats not working, see how different methods, or programs are performing in affiliate marketing?                                                                                                                                                                                                               Solution- I recommend you get a google analytics account a.s.a.p, or some kind of website traffic program, so that you can track your results. If your promoting clickbank products then you can actually link your google analytics account to it. This will allow you to see exactly where your customers purchased a product through your affiliate link. This will help you determine if your ads were working effectively, blog post, youtube video, or any other techniques you are using to get traffic to your affiliate link.
3. Not being Consistent- I have notice something directly when it comes to my youtube channel that i use to blast my affiliate programs. At one point in time i was posting 2 videos per day with my affiliate links in the description box. When i go to my clickbank account i notice that all my affiliate links were being heavily visited…. even the old ones. When i made a large lump some of money i took a break, and as a result of me taking a break my hop count slowed down significantly after taking 2 weeks off. I can honestly say that this has hurt my affiliate business, but obviously didn’t stop it in its tracks.                                                                                                                Solution- Just be consistent with whatever it is that you are doing. You never know when your next big break will come in the miraculous internet world. People love people that are consistently giving out information. It is something that they can count on. Make a schedule of whatever it is that your doing, and do it over and over again. Treat your business like a job and it will pay you like a job over time. You just have to build up your momentum.
4. Be 1 Dimensional- Interestingly enough the majority of affiliate marketers that harp about not making any money with affiliate marketing only use once source of traffic. You can’t just go out and rely totally on one video that you posted on youtube with your affiliate link in the description box to get you massive sales. I mean come on now… its just a bad idea to put all your eggs into one basket. Solution- Spread out your efforts and use other avenues to get free traffic to your affiliate link. Try writing some articles, posting blog post, youtube videos, and twitter, but don’t just sit there and wait on one source to solve all your problems.

- I guarantee that if you follow these steps you will fail at affiliate marketing. Your commissions will be $0 day after day and week after week. Kind of use this guide as a way of staying on track to becoming a successful affiliate marketer.

When Should I See Results?

It depends on how much activity that your doing. If you only post 2 videos a week, 1 blog post per week, and submit one article then chances are it will take you a month or two to see any results… unless your just really lucky. I make 7 blog post per week, 5 videos, and 5 articles a week. If you follow what im doing then you will see results within 2 weeks.

-When you consistently do what im doing for 3 months you will be able to kind of scale down. The momentum from this kind of activity for that long will yield great results…. and its all free to do.
